- A photog studio near me has a free workshop once a month, and this month's was an actual working one as opposed to lecture, and we got to play with the studio lights. I was really surprised I got to go - they had room for only 60 people, there was a long waiting list going back a couple months and I signed up only a couple weeks ago for the waitlist. But a bunch of people dropped out, and my name got on the list. Hurrah!
It was so loud in the studio I had a hard time following anything that the studio guys said, but I had fun. And it's clear I have a lot to learn about studio lights. I'm used to working outdoors. I think if I had a few (realistically-many) hours to fiddle with the lights, I'd feel more confident. That said, I did snag a few gems.
